Regarding the Garmin eTrex 30 GPS good quality, easy to use, it serves me touring and I'm going to use it in the near future to travel in a european city. We can add points of interest and finish the paper maps... Good battery life with rechargeable NI MH 2500 mahGood price/quality ratio and easy-to-use. But, when you program a route, the "lady" who is inside is struggling sometimes we do go through some amazing places and shortcuts that lengthen (small roads, detours, etc.). In short, there's better, but it is more expensive! I bought this GPS to replace my TOMTOM became very picky... I chose GARMIN for the updates free and to change (having regard to the various comments of the users and those in my circle). I tested this one on a long journey to 1000 + kms. The various workarounds to avoid the caps are correct and fair, but can be tiring especially when there are so many motorists on the roads. The indications of changes in the highways are very well thought out. After using for many years a TOMTOM, the adaptation time will only take about fifteen minutes. The only problem I've found the loading time to start the first use very long. You should not hesitate to restart the system because we think that it updates itself (but if it is too long), it should be "rebouter" and restart the device. I'm rather safisfait of my purchase, and I would recommend this GPS. By contrast, the "French voice" that announces, for example, the names of the streets in Luxembourg!!! there is something to be bidonner of laughter, especially when the name is germanic! said in French, this is not really it!
